It’s the centrepiece of your facade and your first barrier against break-ins. A true front door is a reinforced block: a multipoint lock, RC2 level, laminated glazing and an insulating panel that cuts out draughts. All designed in your image, in the material that suits you.
A front door is judged on its security and insulation as much as on its looks. The concrete benchmarks that set a true door block apart from a simple interior door.
A multipoint lock secures the sash top, bottom and middle with a single turn of the key. Steel hooks or bolts, an anti-drill and anti-snap cylinder: breaking in through the lock becomes very long, and therefore deterring.
The RC2 level (EN 1627 standard) resists an opportunist burglar with simple tools — screwdriver, pliers, wedge — for several minutes. For sensitive exposures, RC3 raises resistance another notch.
When the door is glazed, we fit laminated safety glazing: an interlayer film holds the shards and stops a hand getting through even when broken. On the insulation side, double or triple glazing limits the losses.
The Ud value measures the losses of the complete block. A solid panel with an insulating core (polyurethane foam) goes far lower than a glazed door. Perimeter seals and a sealed threshold cut out draughts.
Optionally, opening by badge, code, fingerprint or smartphone. The motorised lock locks automatically on closing and is controlled remotely — ideal for short-term rentals or keyless access.
Aluminium and PVC clean with soapy water, with no paint to redo. Wood needs periodic upkeep but offers a unique warmth. Resin composite panels don’t warp and keep their colour.

It’s a lock that secures the sash in several places at once — top, bottom and centre — with a single turn of the key. Instead of one fragile point, the burglar has to force 3, 5 or even 7 steel points. Paired with an anti-drill cylinder, it makes a break-in very long, and therefore deterring.
RC2 is a burglar-resistance level defined by the European standard EN 1627. An RC2 door resists for several minutes an opportunist burglar equipped with simple tools such as a screwdriver or pliers. It’s the level recommended for a single home; RC3 goes further for at-risk exposures.
Laminated glazing is made of two panes bonded by a plastic film. When broken, it doesn’t release shards and stays whole: it’s impossible to pass a hand through to reach the inside handle. It’s the safety glazing that’s essential whenever a front door includes a glazed part.
Yes, clearly. A solid panel with a polyurethane-foam insulating core reaches a Ud value around 0.9 to 1.2, where a heavily glazed door tops out higher. To keep light without losing insulation, you add a side light or a transom rather than a large glazed surface in the sash.
