A roller shutter with an anti-lift lock is a serious deterrent and delays an intrusion. It’s not armour plating, but combined with multi-point locking and laminated glazing, it considerably reinforces ground-floor security.
Wired: the simplest and most economical, wall switch. Radio: wireless remote, ideal in renovation (no wiring). Solar: autonomous, small panel built into the box — perfect when there’s no power supply nearby.

Yes, surface-mounted outside or under the lintel. The box is fixed above the window. It’s easier to integrate when replacing windows, but doable at any time.
