For a company, self-consumed energy is worth far more than the injected surplus: aiming for daytime consumption is almost always the right call. On siting, the roof remains the most economical option, but a car-park canopy becomes relevant when the roof is saturated or fragile, with an added service for your team and your customers.

How long does a business installation take to pay off?
For a well-sized self-consumption plant, payback is generally between 6 and 8 years, sometimes less if your daytime consumption is high. After that, the electricity produced is virtually free for the lifespan of the modules — over 25 years. Our study quantifies your specific case from your bills.
Should I aim for self-consumption or selling the surplus?
Self-consumption is almost always the priority: a kWh consumed on site spares you the full grid price, which is much higher than the value of the injected surplus. We therefore size the plant to your daytime consumption, then any surplus is valued at the professional prosumer tariff.
Is a car-park canopy really profitable?
Yes, especially when the roof is saturated, fragile or poorly oriented. The canopy generates electricity while sheltering the vehicles of your staff and customers, and enhances your image. The cost per kWp is slightly higher than on a roof because of the structure, but the added service and available surface often make up for the gap.
Can we install without fronting the cash?
It’s possible through third-party investment: a partner finances and installs the plant, and you pay for the energy produced or a lease, often lower than your current bill. It’s an attractive option for preserving your cash flow. We point you to the formula best suited to you, direct purchase or third-party investment, depending on your situation.
How do you track production and savings day to day?
Every installation comes with monitoring: you follow production, self-consumption and the savings achieved in real time, area by area. It’s a valuable tool for steering your usage, communicating about your CSR approach and immediately spotting any drop in performance.
